PA Cyber Celebrated the Grand Reopening of Expanded South Side Office

The Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School (PA Cyber) celebrated the grand reopening of its South Side regional office yesterday evening, September 21. Headquartered in Midland, the online public school maintains a network of nine regional offices around the state that serve as hubs for enrollment, orientation, and year-round enrichment activities. The school doubled the square footage of its South Side office.

The grand reopening celebration also served as that location’s annual Regional Office Kickoff, an event that takes place at the beginning of every school year at each regional office. These events give PA Cyber students and their families the opportunity to meet their principals, sign up for events and enrichment programs, and participate in hands-on art and STEM activities.

“It has been wonderful to see our families’ excitement when they see the updated office,” said David Veon, PA Cyber’s supervisor of regional offices. “It’s essentially their schoolhouse. Our facilities may look a little different from traditional schools, but it’s where our students and families can connect and become part of our community.”

The South Side office now has an expanded lobby area and an additional flex space that will enable multiple enrichment events to run concurrently.

The 7,000-square-foot South Side office serves four full-time employees and 1,200 students in Allegheny County and surrounding areas.

“The new safety features have eased my mind when dropping off the kids for events,” said Meagan Critelli, parent of two PA Cyber students. “My kids are loving the bigger classroom areas. They are excited to have a larger area to work when creating art or learning new instruments. Overall, we are thrilled with the upgraded space and can’t wait to attend events this year!”
