PA Cyber Celebrates Reaccreditation by Middle States Association

Seven-year recognition affirms educational excellence.

April 24, 2026

The Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School (PA Cyber) proudly announces reaccreditation by the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA) for another seven years—a milestone that affirms the school meets rigorous standards and is committed to continuous improvement.

This recognition marks PA Cyber’s second renewal since its initial accreditation in 2011. PA Cyber met MSA’s updated criteria that emphasize academic rigor, student support, ethics, resource management, and leadership. The reaccreditation process involves a comprehensive self-evaluation as well as visits from MSA volunteers.

Since 1887, MSA has helped 3,200 schools worldwide improve through accreditation. Its trusted framework enables schools to establish priorities, strengthen systems, and create long-term plans that support high achievement for all learners.

“Accreditation is voluntary, professional peer review in service of school improvement,” said Christian Talbot, CEO and President of MSA. “Pursuing accreditation helps the entire school community […] to think about the future they want and how to get there. Earning accreditation shows that a school is committed to doing everything it can to support its students.”

Steve Robinson, President of PA Cyber’s Board of Directors, notes, “Earning this achievement is further evidence that PA Cyber is a leader in public cyber charter education in the Commonwealth. The school is committed to upholding MSA’s best practices.”

CEO of PA Cyber Brian Hayden said, “In addition to our reaccreditation, this year we are also celebrating our 25th anniversary and charter renewal from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. It is because of the strength and commitment of our PA Cyber community that we can celebrate these milestones.”

MSA-accredited institutions uphold the highest educational standards, which support student readiness for high school graduation and college admissions. PA Cyber remains dedicated to ensuring that its students are well-prepared for success in their academic and future endeavors.

PA Cyber looks forward to building on this success and continuing to serve Pennsylvania students who are searching for a better educational fit. Learn more about what PA Cyber offers students when it comes to school choice.
